Clermont County is the birthplace of Ulysses S. Grant, our nation’s 18th president. He was born in Point Pleasant, and his home is a tourism site open to the public from April through October.

Most communities have one or two, but Clermont County has 25 historical landmarks on the National Register of Historic Places.

The county is one of the top competitive rowing destinations in the country, with a world-class rowing course on Harsha Lake in East Fork State Park.
